THE LAKE DISTRICT TOURISM and CONSERVATION PARTNERSHIP

The Lake District Tourism and Conservation Partnership, established in 1993, is a non-profit making organisation that brings together tourism businesses, conservation groups and visitors to raise funds and enhance the natural beauty of the Lake District. The Partnership’s legacy will be that conservation becomes the norm for the tourism industry, whilst fostering and facilitating environmental best practice.

Recognised as a centre of excellence WORLDWIDE, The Partnership continues to be cited as an example of best practice amongst key organisations. In the first ten years, over £325,000 has been raised through our Members who in turn support a wide range of diverse, practical conservation projects. The rewards for everyone involved are therefore outstanding and help secure the future of this most beautiful place.

Footpath Repairs

In partnership with several other businesses, during 2009 Coppermines & Lakes Cottages will raise funds through their guests to support this route which leads from the Duddon valley to Seathwaite Tarn, beneath the Coniston Fells.
