The Coniston Walking Festival 2008 is a new walking festival which aims to reveal and celebrate the landscape in and around Coniston, the Lake District.

There's a packed and diverse programme which includes walks themed to enable you to discover more about Coniston's geography and about those adventurers, artists, poets and philosophers who have found inspiration in the landscape.

Featuring a lively programme of evening entertainment, daytime activities for all the family, art installations and historical adventures, it's a walking festival with a difference.
