This stunning cottage was created very carefully by its local owners just a few years ago and incorporates everything needed for a relaxing holiday.

The main rooms are exceptionally spacious and have been designed for entertaining.

The cottage overlooks Torver Beck, which is a river by this point.

Over a little bridge the grounds of the cottage extend to over an acre and right down to your own lake beach, with its jetty and summer house.

Dinghy's and sailing boats can be launched from the beach and kept there during your stay.

24/01/2012 - CRAG COTTAGE, FAR END, CONISTON - NEW Spring 2012

Crag Cottage is in the middle of a terrace of Grade II listed, 18th century, quarryman cottages.
It is spectacularly situated under Yewdale Crag at the 'Far End' of the village of Coniston, at the north end of Coniston Lake. Built of Lakeland stone with thick walls and an open fire, it is the epitome of a traditional Lakeland cottage.
It has a superb location on a little lane at the edge of the village, 5 minutes walk from the numerous pubs, cafes, shops and church, but away from the hubbub.
The view from the cottage is easterly across fields and woods to Grizedale forest and in the winter the lake can be seen from the house.

01/01/2012 - An "OLYMPIC" HAPPY NEW YEAR !!

"Olympics" at The Bridge

A group of "Olympic" revellers, celebrated the New Year whilst staying at The Bridge Cottages.

After a dinner for 21 at The Bridge House, they partied, and joined many more from Coniston on the Bridge to bring in the new year.

01/01/2012 - A HAPPY NEW YEAR ! & No 2 DIXON GROUND REFURBISHMENT

Starting next week, we are refurbishing most of this popular cottage.

A new creamy shaker style kichen, will lead to a new oak floored sitting room, redecorated with a period art-deco iron fireplace.

On the first floor we are making a large en-suite bedroom with a lovely oak sleigh bed.

02/12/2011 - NEW FOUR POSTER BED FOR WILLOW TREE COTTAGE

Four Poster Bed for Bedroom One.

This winter we have started to decorate and refurnish many of our cottages, and today we have just finished some of the improvements to Willow Tree Cottage in Coniston Village.

The sitting room also has new leather sofas.

Grizedale

This years rally is to feature a new 7-mile stage in the dark on Saturday evening in Grizedale Forest. This is in addition to the further 35 miles of stages that takes place on Sunday in Grizedale and Dunnerdale.

For guests staying in our cottages we were delighted to offer free trackside hospitality on both Saturday evening and throughout the day on Sunday.
The cars would normally pass our hospitality area three times over the weekend).
