The "Banks" Old Copperminers Cottages, Coniston Village

This lovely area of "Old Coniston" has great views to Coniston Water and Grizedale Forest.

The Cottages were all originally built of stone by The Coniston Copper Company around 1850 and all have many of their original features.
The lanes to them, were of course originally built for horses & carts, and are steep and narrow, but quite suitable, with care, for the motor cars of today.
The fantastic views from the cottages make the climb well worthwhile, whilst you can walk to all the local amenities and up onto the higher fells at the back.
