A Traditional Lakeland stone cottage, originally part of a hamlet serving the Tudor Coniston Hall, Stone Leys was the wheelwright's cottage. The mill stream still tumbles alongside the enclosed cottage garden, which has parking for 3 cars, and room for bicycles and boats ! Full of character and tradition, the cottage is at least two hundred years old, and recently refurbished with attractive beams and window seats within very substantial stone walls.

Traditional Porch & Hallway Sitting room: spacious and comfortable with three large sofas, oak beams, wood-burning stove, Colour TV (with Sky sport) multi format DVD
Games Room: TV plus multi format DVD and Playstation (PS2), table football, large sofa

A traditional whitewashed 16th century cottage set near to open countryside on the edge of Coniston Village, surrounded by beautiful views of Coniston Old Man and the Fells, which has been partially refurbished early this year.
Sunny Brae Cottage can be found in the old hamlet of Haws Bank about half a mile south of Coniston Village, near to The Ship Inn
Haws Bank was originally a small community containing a few local industries such as wheelwright, Blacksmiths and a few stone cottages one of which was a "Penny Ale House'.
The main road from Coniston now bypasses Haws Bank making the little hamlet an ideal place to stay.
The Penny Ale House now forms Sunny Brae Cottage which has a very attractive garden across the lane, where you can while away the afternoons listening to the beck as it makes it's way down to nearby Coniston Water.
