Fishing, climbing, pony trekking, and many other outdoor pursuits are available within easy motoring distance - so there is no excuse not to take advantage of this opportunity to really get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

A lovely 200 year old cottage in the heart of Peter Rabbit country which has been extended and refurbished to a very high standard with many individual and tasteful design touches.

Full of character, cosy Brimstock Cottage has a log fire (plus the convenience of gas central heating), also delightfully rustic features, such as exposed beams and an original slate-flagged floor. The cottage has a contemporary twist with stylish leather sofas and trendy home accessories.

Set in a beautiful, traditional cottage garden (a haven for all sorts of wildlife) the cottage has a large, sheltered, south facing patio with far reaching views to Lake Windermere, great for al fresco dining on the teak table set. Brimstock Cottage is close to our ever-popular Tower Cottage and Knott Cottage, in what is one of Lakeland's most highly desirable villages. The village pub which serves good food is less than two minute walk away, as is the village store.

Sitting room with views, Lakeland slate fireplace and log burning stove, leather sofas, 200 year old original Lakeland slate floor, LCD flat screen TV, video, DVD player, CD stereo system, a large selection of books, CD's, DVD's and even a telescope for watching the boats on the lake!

Bedroom 1 with a lovely king-size brass bedstead, large wardrobe and drawers and lake views from the bed! CD player and radio.

The Drawing Room is in the upper part of Sawrey Knotts house, is self contained on one level, and has its own private entrance reached from the upper garden.
Sawrey Knotts is a large attractive mansion built in 1861, converted and refurbished with fantastic views down to Windermere lake
It has beautiful period furniture and a log fire and is very popular as a romantic hideaway.

Situated high above the lovely countryside made famous by Beatrix Potter in the Peter Rabbit books, Tower Cottage offers unrivalled views from all windows, particularly from the timber verandah, a superb sun trap, and a great place for 'alfresco' meals, ideal for couples and families with children over 9 years old.

The cottage, which is traditionally decorated also has a log fire, exposed beams in the sitting room, many original features and oil fired central heating. Nearby, 4 minutes walk away, is the village pub, with good food, and the village store.
