Water Yeat Farm Cottages

Half a Mile South of Coniston Water Sleeping 2 - 15.
Pets are Welcome.

Where Coniston Water meanders gently into the River Crake, here nestles the ancient Water Yeat Farm. This group of cottages was mostly built over 300 years ago, and has just been sympathetically refurbished, retaining many original features, exposed beams & log fires. They are near the famous Allan Tarn depicted by childrens Author Arthur Ransome as Octopus Lagoon in the Swallows & Amazons books.

The cottages all have individual gardens, but also share about a third of an acre of wooded garden with storage facilities, and with views across the valley to lake & fells.
