These historic whitewashed stone cottages are in the heart of the village and are some of the oldest buildings dating back over 300 years, being the original village post office, a butchers and latterly a well known eating house, shown in this photo in 1900 They have private parking with a waterside garden with tables, chairs and barbecue by The Church Beck with extensive views over the village and the surrounding fells.
They can be ingeniously combined together for groups of 5-18 in 8 bedrooms, ideal for celebrating special occasions and only a short walk from all amenities.
The cottages have been sympathetically restored, retaining a wealth of traditional features, real log fires and are welcoming, warm and cosy with full central heating, and fitted carpets throughout.

The Bridge Suite can let as either a self-contained one bedroom apartment to accommodate TWO PEOPLE or as two additional bedrooms that have interconnecting doors to either The Bridge House or The Old Post Cottage and can be joined to either cottage.
Please specify at the time of booking if you require this as a self-contained apartment or as extra bedrooms.

A lovely detached "bungalow" style cottage, built about 50 years ago with an enclosed garden, next to an open field and fully refurbished. Willow Tree Cottage is next to our cottages at The Bridge, near the centre of the village, but tucked away with good mountain views. All accommodation is on the ground floor.
