The cottage was such a perfect home for a long weekend. Plenty of space, all the amenities you could need for a stay here, spotlessly clean and one of the best showers I have ever had. The addition of the hot tub was a lovely surprise (as this was not available when booking and the private back garden was perfect. Excellent location. We will be booking again soon!!

Good description of the place and easy to find, lovely cosy rustic shepherds hut … private, peaceful and the hot tub was amazing one of the best we had been in. Great leaving and walking straight up to the Coppermines into the mountains without having to get in the car! We will be back and would recommend for a peaceful getaway if you like walking, dog friendly, cosy … thank you

We absolutely loved our stay here! The location couldn’t have been better, everything was within walking distance and it’s perfectly placed right at the start of the Old Man of Coniston walk. The directions were incredibly clear and made getting there so easy and stress-free. The hot tub was an amazing bonus and the highlight for us, relaxing in it while taking in the stunning mountain views was just perfect. The hut itself was beautifully set up and had everything we needed for a short stay. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and would 100% stay here again. Highly recommend!

Excellent lodge. Big comfortable bed. Sink and cooking area were all very useful, as was the fridge. Shower room and toilet is great. The location is perfect since I did not have to use my car once since I arrived. Easy access to the mountains and the village. The local staff were friendly and helpful. Great place! I hope to return before too long.

This is a new property that we saw advertised on The Coppermines website. We love Coniston, and it was a plus we could book for just 2-nights as usually the cottages are for 3. I think we were the first people to stay. The lodge was very well-thought-out for such a small space with a small kitchen area and good size bathroom, it was very compact and well-designed, and we loved the custom-made wooden bed. It was lovely and rustic and convenient for the village and Sun pub was in easy walking distance.
