A wonderful cosy warm cottage to welcome us at the end of a day on the fells. The views are incredible. Lots of warm water for baths and excellent washing machine and dishwasher. We couldn't ask for anything more. We will be back.

Tanderra is a beautiful little cottage high up on the Banks. It is comfortable, cosy if you want it to be and well appointed. It's a steep walk up from the village but so worth it for the views of the village and lake from the balcony, living room and main bedroom. You don't need a television (though there is one) the view just keeps on giving. Parking this high on the Banks can be stressful. Tanderra has two allocated spaces and my large estate car fitted in easily. You can start your ascent of Coniston Old Man straight from the door of the cottage. Head up through the trees and a short while later you're rewarded with a look at the mountain. There are so many ways up. You have to come back year after year to explore them all. Coniston is the perfect base to explore the Lakes. Friendly locals. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Lake or fell walks from your door.

A great cottage, with the most amazing view of the lake, very well equipped, warm and comfortable. The description of the access and parking is very accurate, small or medium-sized cars definitely advised! Coppermines responded very quickly to a potential problem when advised of a fault with a piece of kitchen equipment. Looking forward to staying with you again for a wedding at Coppermines in Summer 2025.
