In early September 2024, permission was granted by the Lake District National Park Authority for a new car and coach park in the centre of Coniston village. The new car park will be operated and managed by The Coppermines Lakes Cottages, who are already well known in the area as independent letting agents who have been providing quality cottage holidays in Coniston for nearly 40 years.
