Just south of Far Sawrey, and a mile from Near Sawrey and Beatrix Potter's home Hill Top, perched high above the valley with views stretching across to Lake Windermere, proudly stands the large mansion, Sawrey Knotts. Built in 1861 and once home to a Captain Dand, it is now a select number of beautifully converted apartments, each with its own character and charm.
Top Garden Suite is a beautiful, 2 bedroom holiday apartment. Recently refurbished to a very high standard the cottage features locally purchased textiles and stunning Lake District artwork. A wooden walkway leads from the driveway directly to the glass porch and front door. The galley kitchen features modern appliances including a multi-function induction hob, 14 function oven plus separate warming drawer / slow cooker. The kitchen shares the same view as the lounge, over the rooftops and south over the valley and South East to Windermere, so you can enjoy the lovely sights of Lakeland as you cook. You won't see any cars but you will see trees, birds and silent boats sailing on the lake.
