Home | Local Update | Bluebird’s return to Coniston

On Friday 9th February 2024 The Ruskin Museum announced that Donald Campbell’s Bluebird K7 will finally be returning to Coniston.

The legendary, world record breaking Jet Hydroplane will take its position in the specially designed and built Bluebird Wing of The Ruskin Museum, here in the centre of Coniston village.

The Ruskin Museum will issue further details of this exciting development when they have established a timetable for moving the boat to Coniston and installing her for permanent display. And we will also publish the timeline here on our website, and on our social media pages, so you can be part of this historic event.

It is hoped however that Bluebird K7 will return to Coniston during March 2024, before Easter.

It fills us with immense pride to have supported the cause to bring Bluebird home and we hope that many of you will be able to come and see her in her new forever home.
