A wedding marquee or tipi at The Coppermines MOuntain Venue has a fantastic atmosphere and is a wonderful place to celebrate, dine and dance the night away.
There is a large level area lying alongside the Mountain Cottages which can accommodate various sizes of marquee or a number of tipis. These can be accessed directly from our reception rooms or there is the option to add a tipi tunnel to your wedding booking, allowing guests to move between the cottages and tipis within a sheltered environment.
The beauty of a wedding featuring a marquee or tipi is that you can choose the size of marquee or number of inter-connecting tipis to suit the size of your wedding. Fixtues and fittings can be bespokely installed to create the atmosphere you desire for your special day.
Plus a wedding marque or tipi has the unique advantage of connecting your celebration to the outdoors. The spectacular scenery of the Lake District is not be viewed behind a wall or through a window, but from within the very heart of it. Welcome the jaw-dropping scenery of the Lakes into your wedding ceremony and celebration, without compromising on the comfort of your guests.

We personally recommend marquee providers Evans Marquees of Lancaster and tipi providers Fjell Tipis of Keswick as exclusive providers due to their reliability and expert knowledge of this specific site.
The largest marquee that can be sited can seat around 250 people for a wedding breakfast and host up to 300 people ‘buffet style’ for an evening reception. We advise that all events at The Coppermines Mountain Venue held in marquees/tipis should have a separate, smaller catering section included, giving your chosen outside catering company a designated workspace away from the main buildings/wedding party.
