Great cottage which would easily accommodate 8 people. We stayed with 6 people and 2 dogs. There is now a secure gate at the end of the driveway which has been mentioned in earlier reviews. Pub very short walk and Coniston village only 10 minutes walk on a footpath. Easy access to the lake by foot, maybe 20/25 minutes. Cottage itself is very well planned for stays, kitchen has everything. There is a tumble dryer and good Wi-Fi. Great place.

Our extended family group had a really good week in Beckside. The cottage was very well-equipped and in an excellent location, particularly being so close to the old railway line. The cottage was warm and comfortable.

This lovely cottage is exactly as advertised. 4 spacious bedrooms, 2 of which can be converted to twin or double on request. We had 8 guests and had plenty of room in the lounges also. Comms with the owner/manager were easy and check in was straightforward. Highly recommended.
