Bridge House is the largest of the Bridge Cottages and one of the oldest buildings in the village. Over 300 years, they have formerly been the village post office, a butcher and around the beginning of the 1900s, a well-known restaurant. Though centrally located for all the goodies Coniston has to offer, The Bridge House is pleasantly secluded and peaceful.

The house is large enough for 8 but if you have a bigger group, you can be linked to The Bridge Suite next door, for an additional two bedrooms (and bathroom) thus extending the sleeping capacity from 8 to 12. If you wanted even more room, you could also link, via the porch, to The Old Post Cottage, which has room for 4, and so groups of up to 16 are easily and comfortably accommodated together. Ideal for those big family get-togethers and celebrations.

The house is ideally situated in the centre of Coniston and just a short walk from the church, local stores, gift shops, cafe's and numerous pubs. Popular valley and mountain walks including the Old Man of Coniston & Tarn Hows can be accessed from the front door and the lake shore is less than a 15 minute stroll away.

Ground Floor
A slated entrance leads you into a huge kitchen/dining room, which can seat up to 20. Double hobs, ovens and slate work tops makes catering for big groups easy and hopefully hassle-free! The kitchen is fully fitted with gas range cooker & large hob, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, dryer & fridge/freezer.

The sitting room has ample space for the largest of groups to relax comfortably in. The central focus of the room is the impressive slate log fire, perfect for admiring on a cold winters night. There is also a TV & DVD player to keep the little (and big) ones entertained.

To help keep the living areas tidy the house also benefits from a cloakroom, perfect for wet jackets, boots and bags.

There is also a separate WC, helpful should you just need to nip in from the hot tub.

First Floor
There's plenty of room upstairs too, with 4 doubles or twins and all with their own en suite bath/shower rooms.

Bedroom 1 - king size bed or twin 2'6" single beds, en-suite shower & WC
Bedroom 2 - king size bed or twin 2'6" single beds en-suite bathroom with shower & WC
Bedroom 3 - king size bed or twin 2'6" single beds en-suite shower room with WC
Bedroom 4 - king size bed or twin 2'6" single beds en-suite bathroom with WC & shower

*Two 'Extra Bedrooms' (The Bridge Suite) can be connected & booked alongside The Bridge House allowing the property to sleep 12.

A small private decked area to rear of cottage with garden furniture and outdoor hot tub.

Excellent facilities and location. For a group requiring twin rooms this was perfect. Particularly liked the fact that all rooms were en-suite.

Lovely cottage full of character and charm. Ideal location right in the centre of the village with shops, pubs abd walks right on the doorstep. Well equipped kitchen with all the appliances you would need for a family holiday. We loved the place and didn't want to leave.

Great cottage to meet up with friends. Two good sixe rooms downstairs for socialising. All bedrooms en suite which is excellent not to mention the hot tub. We would definitely return.

Cottage is lovely - brilliantly located and enough rooms to be a very flexible space for a bigger family. Good responsiveness from the Coppermines team during our stay. Hot tub was amazing. Great BBQ area.

The whole family were very complementary about the location, the presentation and the warm welcome we received. My wife and I have stayed several times at your properties and we have always been very happy with all aspects of our stay.

Loved the location. Good amenities in the property. Taking into account Covid restrictions we couldn't have wished for any better. Hot tub was superb.
