We chose this cottage for it's fantastic location, pet friendliness, positive reviews and beautiful presentation. It lived up to all this promise. It lived up to all this promise - we were super comfortable and cosy during a February stay and loved the luxury of a bathroom for each bedroom. Best of all we could easily walk to everything, visiting both the lake and village numerous times, we would definitely stay again.

I stayed at Clemmies Cottage in Coniston in Covid July 2020. The picture of the "cottage" isn't particularly charming (it is a bungalow) but inside it was absolutely lovely. Everything; door frames, bathrooms, kitchen appliances, sofas etc all looked brand new. it was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. The layout is surprisingly spacious - plenty for 6 adults. Someone has given a lot og thought to supplying everything a guest might need. The location is ideal - around 100 metres from Coniston village centre, maybe 400 metres from the lakeside (beach, cafe, boats, stunning scenery...). It was also quiet. The cottage has a small garden and looks directly up towards the Old Man of Coniston - a beautiful view. On arrival we asked for the beds to be reconfigured and the Housekeeper arrived within 15 minutes. The Coppermines staff were also quick to respond and helpful. We ate at several local pubs and had a positive experience with them all. Staff were careful to stay Covid safe, but were also friendly. I knew Coniston is lovely, but I was impressed with Clemmies Cottage. I would definitely recommend it.

Clemmies is a great cottage for groups of friends or families, with 3 spacious en suite bedrooms. The living room also hsa fantastic views. With walks from the door to the lake or the fells this cottage is ideally situated, close to the village but in a quiet cul-de-sac. We have stayed here many times before and will be returning.
