Thank you for another lovely stay at our favourite Grange Cottage. As always it was clean and well equipped. Our 2nd visit this year so far. We love it so much and have been many, many times and hope to return soon. The walks are fabulous and new footpaths are now available so you can walk off the road which can be busy. We saw the deer, a lot of pheasants and birds watching from the French window. It's a wonderful setting.

I would like to say how lovely Grange Cottage (Windermere) is! It is lovely and clean and is placed in a stunning setting, with just a 2 minute walk down to the Lake Shore. Everything is provided in the cottage, and the neighbours were friendly and helpful, giving me tips on paddle boarding and surrounding walks. There is a new accessible walk nearby, which takes you along the Lake edge quite far up the North West side, and another 20 minute walk south to Lakeside to catch a ferry to Bowness-on-Windermere, Ambleside and I think Fell Foot Park. There is a steam train to Haverthwaite here and the Aquarium of the Lakes. We also walked down another new accessible walk from Lakeside (accessed through the south car park) for an evening meal at The Swan Hotel, which provided the BEST chunky chips! This walk takes about an hour depending on your fitness level. I have thoroughly enjoyed being back in the Lakes again and would definitely recommend this company and their cottage choices.

Just back from a lovely break at Grange Cottage. The cottage was immaculate - not the most contemporary in style but everything is new and/or in excellent condition and very clean, with comfy beds and sofa, and a lovely new modern shower room. The location was excellent - great to watch all the wildlife in the garden, including a wide variety of birds (inc a woodpecker), squirrels (sadly no red ones this time!) and rabbits - must remember to take a big supply of bird food next time! It was great being able to walk to the shore of Windermere on a night - we had the whole place to ourselves 2 nights out of 3! I also got up early one morning to watch a hot air balloon being launched in the field at the bottom of the drive. Lots of great places to visit and great walks all within a short drive. We will be back!
