A new cottage and location for our recent stay. Mill Pool Barn is probably the best property that we have stayed in. An exceptional quality modern barn conversion in a wonderful rural setting by Torver Beck. Many local walks straight from the front door to choose from. Thank you to the owners for a fabulous stay.

The quality and thought that has gone into this barn conversion is incredible. From the moment we arrived we referred to the cottage as a "home" as it feels friendly but top-quality. The location is perfect and the owners friendly and helpful but non-intrusive. just completely wonderful.

A perfect stay in the Lake District. A fantastic property that lived up to the description and exceeded expectations. I particularly liked the information left for guests and the attention to detail by providing walking routes and including a memory stick to download to mobile devices, including an appropriate adapter cable. The technology and blinds worked very well.

An excellent place to stay, the Barn is spacious and full of light in the daytime and fully dark at night. The surrounding area is stunning, the river past the property makes the garden a beautiful place to sit and the local walks are equally beautiful and varied. Calm walks by the Coniston Water to larger hill climbs, and "The Wilsons" pub and Undercrag Cafe only a short walk away.

Booking was incredibly easy and the NHS discount was gratefully received. This was my first holiday since before covid and my word, it did not disappoint. Mill Pool Barn was exceptional - clean and cosy, a perfect little nook for a couple to escape to. We regularly visit the Lakes, but this was our first time staying with Coppermines Cottages. Any enquiries were dealt with swiftly whilst we were there. We will be using them again AND recommending them to others for when we return to Coniston for our wedding next year!!! The jams/chutneys were a lovely touch - they got scoffed pretty quick!

This is the first time we've been to this property and concerned it was too "designery" for us. However, it was really cosy and comfortable and really quite a stunning space to stay in for a week. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, really interesting folder provided with history of the barn and delicious box of chocolates- thanks! Also, everything was provided - enough dishwasher tablets, handwash, toilet roll etc, which really makes such a difference. Everything was top quality and spotless. Really quiet with a dark sky at night, setting next to the river idyllic, we enjoyed our stay very much.

A beautiful, renovated barn with everything, and more for a peaceful and relaxing stay. There are plenty of walks from the barn, so you can forget about driving if you wish. The dark skies from outside the barn were also a bonus, something you don't get to see in the city. Highly recommended and look forward to returning.

The barn is a fantastic space. It is airy and spacious, with so much natural light, and wonderfully located adjacent to the river and with a generous garden attached. Walking options from the barn include Coniston’s shoreline, the Old Man, and gentler walks onto Torver Common. The barn had everything we needed with a well-equipped kitchen. We met the owners who were very friendly, and joined in with some alpaca herding from a nearby farm!
