No.4 The Forge is nestled within a row of cosy terraced cottages, originally built to house the 19th century copper miners who toiled in the beautiful valley above. Having undergone major refurbishments, No.4 The Forge, the largest of the three forge cottages now benefits from a host of mod cons yet manages to maintain its original cottage charm.

This beautiful terrace stone and slate built cottage has an advantageous positioning, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Yewdale Road, yet close enough to access all the amenities Coniston village has to offer. A cosy & romantic hideaway, the presence of quality is apparent throughout thanks to the owners, who have lavished much care and attention on its restoration.

There is a secluded terraced patio and gravelled garden to the rear of the property, a haven, and perfect for sitting out and admiring the dramatic backdrop of the surrounding woodland and fells. The front of the property offers a fantastic aspect over the bubbling church beck which runs through the heart of Coniston.

No.4 The Forge is situated next door to No.2 The Forge & No.3 The Forge. The three individual properties combined have the ability to sleep 12, perfect for larger families.

Superb break. Cottage ready early, car park space available in advance due to spin Lakeland 50 and wanting to get registered so that was a great help. Super friendly housekeeping that we met and had a chat with. Already rebooked for next year. Thanks to all involved, always a friendly helpful person on the phone

Been to Coniston many times. This was our first time a No. 4 The Forge and hopefully not our last. An excellent cottage in a perfect location. Even though it rained constantly we still had a great time, walked with the dogs and took advantage of the brilliant central heating and drying facilities at the cottage.
