No.4 Coppermines is a traditional Victorian miner's cottage in a simply stunning mountain environment. There's fells, crags, rivers and waterfalls all accessible from your front door.

For those who love the countryside the Coppermines Valley offers you the chance to explore the fascination of the fells or to simply relax, unwind, enjoy the clear mountain air and watch the quietly grazing Herdwick sheep, beneath a stunning panorama of mountain peaks.

The cottage has been extensively & carefully refurbished in recent years and benefits from many cosy features. Dramatic views of Coniston Old Man rise from the valley in front of the cottage and the small loft seating second bedroom (accessed via fixed ladder) has mountain views towards Wetherlam.

Property Notes
The cottage is most suitable for two people, a fantastic 'romantic retreat'. Although families of up to three are welcome, due to the layout of No.4 Coppermines the property is not suitable for infants or children under 8 years of age. The owners consider the cottage too small for three adults, except in exceptional circumstances and by prior arrangement only.

Please note that this cottage is situated within a mountain environment and as such, care and consideration must be given on approach to the cottage.

The cottage is very cosy and amazing use has been made of the space with everything you could possibly need. It is extremely well-organised. The location is fabulous, and we had a wonderful time, hence the second visit nearly 7 years on.
