A modern, yet charming cottage centrally located in Conison village yet with gorgeous views across fields and crags, Yewdale Cottage is warm, welcoming and ideally placed for a perfect break in the Lakes.

Yewdale Cottage is modern terraced property in a quiet cul de sac, centrally located in the village of Coniston. This charming cottage is perfectly situated to enjoy make the most of all the amenities Coniston village has to offer including cafes, shops, pubs and restaurants.

Plus, lovers of all things 'outdoor' will be spoilt for choice by the abundance of footpaths and cycle ways that are immediately accessible; leading down to the lake, into the forests or up onto the fells. Here at Yewdale Cottage your car can have a holiday too! Simply park up in the private parking space and explore the local area on foot or on two wheels - it's all right here on your doorstep.

But the cottage's hidden gem really has to be the rear cottage garden, an idyllic haven, offering open views across fields to the Yewdale Crags beyond, hence the name. Here you can enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine while soaking up the quintessential Lake District view.

Bright and modern, yet comfortable and welcoming, Yewdale Cottage is perfect for couples, pairs of couples and small families and really is a true 'home from home' - it's no wonder its guests choose to stay here again and again.

Of course there's a TV and DVD player for evenings or keeping young children entertained along with Wi-Fi for those who want to stay connected. Herdwick sheep and Lakeland views adorn the walls in case you'd forgotten where you are!

Moving to the back of the house takes you into the contemporary kitchen/dining area with electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer & microwave. There's a good sized wooden dining table and probably the best view to do the washing up too!

First floor
Upstairs there are two lovely bedrooms & bathrooms, the twin room has fell views, even from bed. What a great way to wake up!

Bedroom 1 - double bed and en-suite shower room.
Bedroom 2 - King size bed or twin single beds & fell views.

Outside
Outside, there's a small gravelled garden with a stunning view to Long Crag: complete with garden furniture this is a great spot to enjoy some al fresco dining. There's even a tiny babbling stream to add that special calming ambience.

To the front there's a small gravelled front garden with shrubs & garden bench, a great place for sitting down with a morning coffee and watching the world pass by.

We loved our stay at Yewdale Cottage. The cottage is so comfortable and really well stocked with everything you need. Our toddler loved the fell view at the back. Yewdale Cottage is a perfect base to explore Coniston and surrounding areas. We have visited Coniston numerous times over the years and will definitely be back to Yewdale Cottage. Also in addition, thanks to your guys at Coppermines who sorted the issue with the heating so promptly. Everyone we spoke to over the couple of days when we had the issue was so helpful and friendly. We've been staying in your cottages years now and the service is always first class.

We had a fantastic stay at Yewdale cottage. It was spotlessly clean, welcoming & warm. The brook running through the garden is just perfect, the view from the back garden is breathtaking taking and we enjoyed sitting out, reading a book & just letting the world go by. The Indian in the village is lovely, had some nice drinks in the sun & the Yewdale inn. Coniston water is absolutely beautiful. Coniston will always hold a special place in our hearts and memories. Coppermines were great from start to finish. Thank you.

I have stayed at Yewdale Cottage several times now and love this cottage, It has a real homely feel. The beds are really comfortable and the views from the dining area and kitchen are amazing. I enjoyed sitting in the front garden enjoying my morning coffee when the sun was out, when it wasn’t the cosy log burner in the lounge was a nice touch, not that you needed it as the house stays very warm. I would definitely recommend.

This is our third visit to Yewdale Cottage and we will be back. The cottage has everything we need, and it always satisfies all our needs. The view from the kitchen window is fabulous. It is also quiet and peaceful, but close enough to the village shops and pubs.

I would rate Yewdale Cottage as excellent. I have used Coppermines in the past and would again in the future. We met the lady that does the housekeeping and I have to say she was extremely helpful. We were impressed with how clean and tidy the cottage was and felt that she deserved the recognition. Thank you for your help. WE will be booking another cottage for next year!

The cottage surpassed our expectations. It was spotlessly clean in these sad Covid times. There was most of the tools and equipment I needed for four days of meal prep. The books and guides and very welcome. The space for all our things in the en suite was much appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay and had a great sense of achievement when we walked the Old Man of Coniston.

Looking back in the visitor's book it would seem that this is our 16th visit! We had lovely weather so walked from Ambleside to Troutbeck via Wansfell Pike and returned via the lower fells. A lovely teashop break in Troutbeck revived us! We also visited Grizedale Forest and explored a part that was new to us. We are planning to return later in the year.
