Ground floor
As you come in the front door, there's a small slate-floored hallway that leads you into the living room. Two comfortable double settees surround a working log burner, perfect for cuddling up in front of. Of course there's a TV and DVD player for evenings or keeping young children entertained along with Wi-Fi for those who want to stay connected. Herdwick sheep and Lakeland views adorn the walls in case you'd forgotten where you are!
Moving to the back of the house takes you into the contemporary kitchen/dining area with electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer & microwave. There's a good sized wooden dining table and probably the best view to do the washing up too!
First floor
Upstairs there are two lovely bedrooms & bathrooms, the twin room has fell views, even from bed. What a great way to wake up!

Outside
Outside, there's a small gravelled garden with a stunning view to Long Crag: complete with garden furniture this is a great spot to enjoy some al fresco dining. There's even a tiny babbling stream to add that special calming ambience.
To the front there's a small gravelled front garden with shrubs & garden bench, a great place for sitting down with a morning coffee and watching the world pass by.

Coniston is simply an excellent base for any Lake District holiday. The village is packed with friendly pubs, local shops and lively cafes and there is incredible walking straight from the village centre, including the iconic Coniston Old Man. The village enjoys ample access to Coniston Water lake shore, with Coniston Boating Centre offering paddle-boarding, kayaking, sailing and more. There are also plenty of opportunities for wild-swimming including the lake, beautiful mountain tarns and the picturesque Church Beck river with its stunning waterfalls and deep, crystal clear pools. For cyclists, there are spectacular off-road mountain biking trails including those at nearby Grizedale Forest, as well as some stunning road routes through some of the country's most beautiful scenery.
For those who enjoy a quieter pace, The Ruskin Museum, which depicts the fascinating history of the area including the famous water speed record attempt of Donald Campbell is a must visit. While on the eastern shores of the lake lies Brantwood, the Victorian home of John Ruskin, where visitors can explore the historic house and vibrant arts centre and enjoy some delicious food from The Terrace cafe with its breath-taking lake and mountain views.
The wider Lake District area is also very easily accessible from Coniston, with popular destinations such as Ambleside, Bowness and Windermere just a short drive away.
