This place was an absolute gem. Away from the hotspots but near enough to all amenities and local beauty spots. The hot tub was a massive plus for us. Even managed an Easter lamb feast with everything I needed to cook it. Would definitely book again

This was one of our most enjoyable holidays ever as a family, and our shepherd dog liked it too. Our 22 year old twins loved hiking and sitting with a packed lunch after a more challenging walk, to admire the amazing views. The cottage had everything we needed, so we could cook meals or relax with a takeaway. It was easy to keep clean with comfortable beds and bedding and it was lovely to have the use of a clean hot tub after a day of walking. The Ship was an easy 5 minute walk in the evenings and we enjoyed a Sunday roast there. The location was fantastic as we could easily get to Elterwater, Coniston, Tarn Hows, Cathedral Cave and even enjoyed a slow motorboat trip around Lake Windermere. On an evening, there are some books, games and every TV channel you could wish for. It's also nice to look outside the back of the cottage and see Coniston Lake and lots of sheep from the front windows. The neighbours were friendly and it is a quiet, pretty village. The Coppermines office/shop is a helpful place with friendly staff and we picked up some useful, free maps there. We loved it so much that we have booked again for next year! Thanks so much!

Just a quick note to say how pleased we were with the cottage, it was in an excellent condition and in a great location. The cleanliness was spot on and the cottage was stocked with all the equipment needed ie - cutlery, bedding, towels etc. It was a credit to the owner and we will certainly be recommending it to our friends. Thank you also to the Coppermines for the excellent service from booking to documentation. Once again thanks again for an unforgettable break.

Lovely place, great view from the balcony and it's a lovely spot to relax in the sun. Garden is beautiful with a stream trickling down at the end. Super easy to get to the nearby pub, which is lovely. Great walk into town by the lake, lots of water activities by the jetty in town. Super easy to get on the public footpaths up to the Walna Scar car park for hiking, which saves money for the car park and the hassle of finding a spot to park your car. The hot tub was very luxurious and clear instructions made it easy to use. Great place to stay, will certainly stay again.

A nicely situated cottage that is thoughtfully provisioned for walkers, with ample boot space and hooks. We enjoyed the hot tub, and the garden levels are delightful sun traps. The kitchen had all the utensils we could have needed.

Netherbeck is a beautiful well proportioned property with some lovely features, ie modern bathrooms, good size rooms. Garden and hot tub are a definite bonus. The size was perfect for us - 5 adults and a 3 month old baby. Location is quiet, with walks and village being only a short walk away.
