Experience Thrills & Spills at Coniston Power Boat Records Week



Come to Coniston, in the Lake District, this autumn and take in the thrill and spills of Power Boat Records week.
Competitors and officials will travel from all over the world to gather in the beautiful Lakeland village of Coniston to witness the exhilarating Power Boat Records Week (30th October – 3rd November 2017), on waters once graced by eminent record-breakers such as Malcolm and his son Donald Campbell.
Spectators will have the chance to see at first hand an awesome display of power, as competitors hit the water in an attempt to break both British and World Power Boat Records across a variety of classes.
From tiny hydroplanes, through inshore circuit racers to large offshore boats, there will be huge variety of power boats taking part, travelling at speeds in excess of 150mph.
Records Week is the only event in the power boat racing calendar to bring together all classes of boat, and since its start in 1970 has become increasingly popular, attracting big names from the power boat world.
The event is free for spectators to enjoy, with the best views from the shoreline at either end of the measured run, there is also the opportunity to get a closer look at the boats and chat with owners and drivers in the pit area at the Coniston Boating Centre.
