Find Your Dream Wedding Venue

A memorable wedding starts with a memorable location and booking a venue has to be one of the most important decisions you will make during your wedding planning process, here are our tops tips to help you find your perfect venue…

1. Location is key

This is very important, are you looking to get married locally? Maybe somewhere further afield that holds significance to your relationship? What are the logistics of getting to and from the venue for you and your guests? Are there accommodation options nearby? Is it realistic to ask your family and friends to travel and if so how many of your expected guests would? Once you have decided on a location do some research, hit Google & try to narrow down potential venues. It is also worth contacting the local registrar’s office for the county who will hold details of all locally licenced venues.

2. Talk Money

This is really important. Before setting off to view any venues, work out a realistic budget and keep this in mind.

3. What’s your wedding style

Each wedding is unique however which style does your dream wedding fit into? Traditional, contemporary, rustic, bohemian? Keep this in mind when considering venues, does the venue ‘fit’ in with your chosen style?

4. Be inquisitive

Ask as many questions as you can leading up to and during your wedding viewing. This is your special day and as such leave nothing to chance. What is included in their offer? If you are unsure then simply ask. Also take a notepad with you so you can jot down any key points. This will come in useful should you be torn between two similar venues.

5. Visit the venue more than once

Before confirming make sure that you have all the information you need to hand. First impressions count however there is nothing wrong with asking to view the venue again just be extra sure you’ve found the one!
