One of the best reasons to rent a holiday cottage in the lake district is that you can have a truly private space that works for you and the needs of your family. You can eat when you like, sleepy when you like, make snacks when you like and have a time out spot for when things get a little loud! If you are looking for some great places to take kids to play in the lake district here are some ideas:
Coniston Village
The Coppermines cottages are mostly based in and around Coniston where there are lots of great walks you can try right from the village including a family friendly walk the copper mines. Brantwood is also a great place to take kids as you can pack a picnic and let them run and play in the pretty gardens there. Coniston water is also a great place for kids to play as they try skimming stones, finding interesting sticks and paddling in the cool, clear water.

Don’t forget to pack some outdoor games and equipment such as balls and frisbees to play with or set them a fun challenge or scavenger hunt so they enjoy the garden as much as you!
