Hollin Bank Barn, Nr. ConistonSitting above Monk Coniston lies 300 year old Hollin Bank Barn. If you’re coming to the Lake District, then you can’t overlook this cottage. It enjoys breath-taking views, looking south along the length of Coniston Water. From this homely base you could quite easily just wallow in the view, and not do anything else, it is that astonishing. Sleeping 6, this much loved family home is warm & comfortable and the best bit sans Wi-Fi so you really can switch off from the distractions of everyday life. Should you or your company desperately need an injection of civilisation then the delightful village of Coniston is a mere 5 minute drive away. The real gem is the cottage garden which makes this cottage so irresistible. Dry stone walls surround the garden, keeping the local Herdwick sheep out. Tall pines shelter the woodpeckers you may hear and rhododendrons add seasonal colour. And at the bottom of the garden, there are table and chairs in arguably the best position of any such furniture in the area.

Situated in the scenic Coppermines Valley a stone’s throw away from the Lakeland village of Coniston lies the delightfully rustic Coppermines Mountain Cottages. If you’re after drastic fells, idyllic surroundings and star lit skies, then you can’t overlook these 4 charming cottages. Sleeping up to 4,4,6 & 8 respectively or 22 combined these much loved mountain cottages are warm, comfortable & all come with Wi-Fi, log fires and private hot tubs as standard. Perfect for couples, families & friends looking to escape it all & spend some quality time together. Whilst there, head out and climb the ‘Old Man of Coniston’, rising 2,634 feet into the air and accessible from the front door. After a day spent exploring the area, there is no better place to relax than in the inviting hot tub, drinking in the valley views and starry skies (glass of wine optional).

Tarn Foot, is a historic cottage dating back to the 1700’s set in the heart of Seathwaite, a beautiful unspoilt mountain valley, with a backdrop of crags & streams. This is the ideal location for those seeking peace and tranquillity – ideal for those who love walking in the great outdoors.
This cosy romantic cottage is perfect for couples. Whilst thoroughly modernised it retains many of its original features, ensuring that the charm of this beautiful property has been retained. Providing a comfortable and well equipped bolt-hole, complete with a wood burning stove, the perfect place to sit, relax and simply unwind.
Bee Bole House, Water Yeat, Coniston Water
Bee Bole House is a beautiful 200 year old Georgian cottage, nestling in the beautifully quaint hamlet of Water Yeat at the southern tip of Coniston Water. Sleeping 6 comfortably, Bee Bole House is situated near to Allen Tarn, made famous as ‘Octopus Lagoon’ in the ‘Swallows and Amazons’ stories. The cottage also enjoys nearby access to Coniston Water via the Lake Bank Jetty. From here visitors can enjoy wonderful views towards the Lakeland fells, picnics, relaxation, water sports and swimming. Should that list not be exhaustive guests to Bee Bole can also enjoy peaceful bird watching and the varied flora and fauna of the valley. In essence a stunning cottage and a tranquil and idyllic location.
