Coniston Foodhouse use locally sourced ingredients to create their menu selection, cooking and baking at their shop in Coniston village centre.

Getting married at The Coppermines Mountain Venue? Please contact us with your wedding date and provisional numbers. Tailored packages are also available on request. Wedding packages include disposable plates, cutlery and napkins if required. Upon agreement of the package and prices, a 25% non refundable deposit based on initial numbers is required to secure the booking. Final payments, choices and dietry agreements are required at least 1 week prior to the event or 2 weeks if the number of guests exceeds 50.

Coniston Foodhouse use fresh, local produce from various suppliers within the local area to offer the best quality ingredients. All sandwiches and fillings are made in house. Chicken is slow cooked and ham is roasted in honey and mustard then hand carved. Eggs are free range to make that perfect egg may sandwich.

All cakes and traybakes are baked in-house in Coniston. If you would like something that is not listed here, please do ask.

Afternoon Tea Boxes

Timeless Classic: A selection of delicious sandwiches: Honey & mustard roast ham, tuna mayo, cheddar cheese, pulled chicken (coronation or chicken & bacon in mayo), sausage roll bites, fruit or plain scone with strawberry jam and clotted cream, a selection of homemade cakes/tray bakes.

Say Cheese: As above with the addition of cheese, biscuits, branston pickle and grapes.

Add a slice of homemade quiche to either of the above as an extra.

Individual Lunch Boxes

  1. Sandwiches, crisps and cake/traybake plus a slice of quiche.
  2. As above with the addition of cumberland sausage bites and a fresh fruit pot.

Includes triangle sandwiches on sliced white and brown bread with a selection of sandwich fillings from list A. Served with a salad garnish, crisps and a selection of cakes & tray bakes (see below).

Silver

Includes triangle sandwiches on sliced white and brown bread with a selection of sandwich fillings from list A & B. Served with a salad garnish, sausage roll bites, pork pies and crisps plus a selection of cakes & tray bakes (see below).

Gold

Includes triangle sandwiches on sliced white and brown bread with a selection of sandwich fillings from list A & B. Served with a salad garnish, sausage roll bites, pork pies, mini sausages, quiche and crisps plus a selection of cakes & tray bakes (see below).

Platinum

Includes triangle sandwiches on sliced white and brown bread with a selection of sandwich fillings from list A & B. Served with sausage rolls bites, pork pies, mini sausages, quiche, a salad garnish, potato salad, coleslaw and crisps plus a selection of cakes & tray bakes (see below).

Finger and Fork Buffet

1. Meaty: Chicken skewers, selection of cooked meats (Beef & Ham), homemade potato salad, pesto pasta, salad, homemade slaw, crudités with dips, fresh fruit platter, selection of cakes & tray bakes

2. Meat & Cheese: The same as ‘Meaty’ plus a cheese board, with crackers and branston/chutney and grapes.

3. That little bit more: the same as ‘Meat & cheese’ with the addition of homemade sausage roll bites, quiche and pork pies.

We pride ourselves on producing high quality homemade and locally sourced food and have a 5 star hygiene rating.

We use fresh and local produce from various suppliers within the local area to bring you the best quality ingredients. All of our sandwich fillings are made in house. Our chicken is slow cooked and hand pulled, our ham is roasted in honey and mustard, and our eggs are free range to make that perfect egg mayo sandwich. We bake our cakes and tray bakes in house too!
