Conveniently located in the heart of Coniston village, Fernlea is the ideal base to make the most of the village's amenities as well as exploring the rest of the Lake District National Park. Although central for everything Coniston has to offer, Fernlea is tucked away off Lake Road, offering the very best of both worlds; a quiet holiday hideaway but with the village, lake and access to the fells including Coniston Old Man right on your doorstep. This ground floor, single level, 2 bedroom apartment also benefits from being located within the same structure as The Gallery, making it perfect for groups of friends or multi-generational families wishing to holiday together yet while still retaining their own space.

Internally
The main entrance to Fernlea is via a bright and airy porch which also serves as a very useful space for coats, boats and wet-weather gear. The porch leads to the cottage's newly-installed, spacious kitchen and dining room, the dining space includes a dining table for 4 while an island with extra seating is the centrepiece of the kitchen. The modern, fully-equipped kitchen is fitted with a fridge freezer, double electric oven, gas hob, wine fridge, dishwasher, microwave and a washer/dryer, topped off with a decadent quartz worktop. The kitchen leads on to the double-aspect lounge. This welcoming space includes comfortable sofas to sink into after your day's Lake District adventure. A whole host of different gadgets ensures there's plenty to keep everyone entertained, whatever their age - including a Smart TV, DVD player, CD/Hi-Fi, Smart radio, Bluetooth speaker, Playstation and a selection of DVD’s, CD’s, books and games.

A corridor from the kitchen leads to the property's 2 double bedrooms,

Bedroom 1: A bright and welcoming room with kingsize bed and views over the property's garden.
Bedroom 2: Another lovely bedroom with double bed.

Another corridor leads to the cottage's well proportioned family bathroom with bath, separate shower, W.C. and sink.

Externally
To the front of the property is Fernlea's dedicated, off-street parking space. A pretty path bordered by shrubs and hedges leads round to the apartment's secluded garden and main entrance. This delightful outdoor space is a little haven of tranquillity, tucked away out of sight and the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day spent exploring everything the local area has to offer. A table and dining chairs also provide the ideal spot for lunch in the sun, a morning coffee or after-dinner drinks.

Fernlea was a really comfortable cottage right in the centre of Coniston. The kitchen diner was exceptional with good quality fittings and equipment, a real wow factor when you enter. The cottage was spotlessly clean and we would definately return.

Fantastic return stay to Fernlea, but this time, a lovely 7 night stay. Has everything you need for a longer stay and ideally located in the centre of Coniston and an easy walk to the Lake. Fernlea is spotless and well maintained. Such a comfortable cottage, all on one level with a beautiful kitchen and huge island for socialising around.

Fantastic cottage. Looks even better than in the photos. Lovely outside area to sit in nice weather. Kitchen is stunning with everything you need and a great place to sit and relax after a day on the fells. The whole place was spotless. And so close to all village amenities or a walk to the Lake. Will be returning.
