A great cottage in a lovely location within Coniston, perfect to use as a base for a week's stay. Cottage had everything you would need for your stay, was great to have a spacious bedroom and bathroom, and having a morning coffee sitting next to the river was definitely a highlight. The visitor guide/booklet provided some great suggestions in and around Coniston, including the bike ride to Cathedral Caverns which was brilliant and being so central and yet tucked away meant that we had all the benefits of walking to key places in minutes, but could retire somewhere quiet later.

The cottage is in a great location. It is very nice inside and the upstairs is the nicest cottage we have stayed in. It's perfect for 3 of us. The owners have made excellent use of the space eg washer and tumble dryer under the stairs. The porch is very useful for storage of coats and shoes. The private parking space is great also. Excellent overall.

This was our first stay at forge bridge, and it didn't disappoint. The location was great and the accommodation itself out of this world. Even though this is a dog friendly property, there were no signs that pets had been in. It was clean, fresh and no doggy smells. The property also had everything we needed, and it really did feel like home from home.
