Entry through the light and bright sun-room, via the impressive slate paved terrace (you may struggle to remove yourself from standing here, simply due to the views, they're that good!). The sun-room, complete with comfortable seating offers a great place to relax and admire those awe inspiring views.
From the sun-room there's open entrance into the cosy open plan living area.
The lounge enjoys comfortable seating, a wood burning stove, Free Sat TV & DVD player. This is the perfect place to curl up with a good book, enjoy a glass of wine or simply to sit and daydream after a day on the lake or exploring the mountains. There's also a small dining table and chairs tucked away which can be moved around to take advantage of the sun room views.
The modern cottage kitchen is well appointed, benefiting from electric oven and hob, fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave & dishwasher. The kitchen also enjoys a lovely view towards the fields & forest beyond (no fighting over who washes up here!).
At the far end of the kitchen a door leads to the cottage stairwell and to the upstairs living areas.
First Floor
Once you've climbed the short flight of stairs you are presented with the beautiful master bedroom and modern en suite shower room.
The deceptively spacious bedroom encompasses a comfortable king size bed, dressing area, comfortable window seat and views across the fields down the length of Coniston Water.
The en suite shower room offers a walk in shower, W.C & basin and there is also a washer dryer cleverly tucked into the bathroom design.
Outside
Guests will have use of a lovely slate paved patio terrace with garden furniture, immediately accessible from the sunroom. From this spot with heavenly views you can simply watch the world go by.

Property Notes
The stairs in the cottage are short and steep however are carpeted and there is a handrail.
The cottage is suitable for a maximum of two people, a lovely 'romantic retreat'. Mole’s Cottage is not suitable for children due to the layout of the property & garden and does not accept pets.

Coniston is simply an excellent base for any Lake District holiday. The village is packed with friendly pubs, local shops and lively cafes and there is incredible walking straight from the village centre, including the iconic Coniston Old Man. The village enjoys ample access to Coniston Water lake shore, with Coniston Boating Centre offering paddleboarding, kayaking, sailing and more. There are also plenty of opportunities for wild-swimming including the lake, beautiful mountain tarns and the picturesque Church Beck river with its stunning waterfalls and deep, crystal clear pools. For cyclists, there's spectacular off-road mountain biking trails including those at nearby Grizedale Forest, as well as some stunning road routes through some of the country's most beautiful scenery.
For those who enjoy a quieter pace, The Ruskin Museum, which depicts the fascinating history of the area including the famous water speed record attempt of Donald Campbell is a must visit. While on the eastern shores of the lake lies Brantwood, the Victorian home of John Ruskin, where visitors can explore the historic house and vibrant arts centre and enjoy some delicious food from The Terrace cafe with its breath-taking lake and mountain views.
The wider Lake District area is also very easily accessible from Coniston, with popular destinations such as Ambleside, Bowness and Windermere just a short drive away.
