Upon entering via the rear of the house you find yourself in the open plan kitchen, dining and living area where the impressive cast-iron open fire place gives the room bags of character and warmth.
The well-equipped kitchen includes an electric oven with gas hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, while the living rooms includes a smart TV with Freeview and DVD player. In the living room all eyes will be drawn to the incredible view through the patio doors. These doors take you out onto a decked patio with fantastic views over the mature cottage garden to Coniston Water and the surrounding countryside and comes complete with garden furniture.

Coniston is simply an excellent base for any Lake District holiday. The village is packed with friendly pubs, local shops and lively cafes and there is incredible walking straight from the village centre, including the iconic Coniston Old Man. The village enjoys ample access to Coniston Water lake shore, with Coniston Boating Centre offering paddle-boarding, kayaking, sailing and more. There are also plenty of opportunities for wild-swimming including the lake, beautiful mountain tarns and the picturesque Church Beck river with its stunning waterfalls and deep, crystal clear pools. For cyclists, there are spectacular off-road mountain biking trails including those at nearby Grizedale Forest, as well as some stunning road routes through some of the country's most beautiful scenery.
For those who enjoy a quieter pace, The Ruskin Museum, which depicts the fascinating history of the area including the famous water speed record attempt of Donald Campbell is a must visit. While on the eastern shores of the lake lies Brantwood, the Victorian home of John Ruskin, where visitors can explore the historic house and vibrant arts centre and enjoy some delicious food from The Terrace cafe with its breath-taking lake and mountain views.
The wider Lake District area is also very easily accessible from Coniston, with popular destinations such as Ambleside, Bowness and Windermere just a short drive away.
