Easter is an amazing time for a family get together in the Lake District as there are lots of great family activities on offer from many of the local attractions. The Lake District also looks gorgeous in Spring, but the weather can be a little unpredictable.

Coniston is a charming village in the Lake District and a perfect place to base yourself if you are coming to visit on a Lake District cottage holiday. Close enough to all the major attractions of the Lake District but set apart enough not to be one of the more touristy areas. This combined with the fact that there are a nice variety of local shops, pubs and restaurants and walking and water adventure on your doorstep – why stay anywhere else!
