The Coppermines Mountain Cottages are 4 inter-connecting cottages which combined sleep up to 22 guests. Book for 19 people or more and have the entire venue to yourselves!

Have even more than 22 guests? We also have 3 additional mountain cottages, Fellside, No.4 Coppermines and Slater Bob’s (comes with yet another hot tub), just a 4 minute walk away sleeping a total of a further 9 people. That’s unique mountain accommodation, with 5 hot tubs, for up to 31 guests.

2. Adventure on your doorstep

A stay in Coppermines Valley means, mountains, rivers, crags and waterfalls are all right outside the front door, just waiting to be explored. Hike up Coniston Old Man, try ghyll scrambling in the rivers and waterfalls of church beck or mountain bike to the spectacular Cathedral Cavern. For those who love adventure there is simply nowhere better!  

3. Live the mountain high life in your own mountain hot tubs

Imagine relaxing in your own mountain hot tub, watching the clouds drift across the summits as your worries melt away. Sound good? Well, The Coppermines Mountain Cottages come with FOUR hot tubs – each with views of the incredible surroundings. Perfect for stag or hen party, post-adventure recovery and relaxation.

4. Great pubs, everywhere

While The Coppermines Mountain Cottages are set in a truly rugged & mountainous environment, they are actually only 1.5 miles from Coniston Village. Coniston has several great pubs including The Black Bull with its own brewery brewing the famous Bluebird Bitter, all within walking distance of each other.

5. Explore the wider Lakes

Coniston is a great base for exploring the wider Lake District as part of a hen or stag party. Climb England’s highest mountain Scafell Pike, challenge yourself to Via Ferrata at Honistor Slate Mine, go shopping in Keswick or spend a chilled-out day lakeside at Coniston Water. It’s all here waiting for you. Plus there’s ample, private parking at the Mountain Cottages, so you don’t need to worry about parking after a day’s exploring.

6. Adventures on the water

Coniston Boating centre offers boat hire including paddleboards, rowing boats and motor boats. Less than 2 miles from Coppermines Mountain Cottages it’s fun and laughter guaranteed – as long as you don’t mind getting wet of course.

7. Eat together, laugh together

The Coppermines Mountain Cottages come with well-equipped kitchens and a huge dining table in the largest cottage – so you can enjoy mealtimes together as a group. And with 4 log-fires they offer an atmospheric setting for fun evenings of laughter and friendship.

With no street lighting the Coppermines Mountain Cottages enjoy glorious dark skies so you can enjoy the skies as nature intended.
