Our pick of dog-friendly Lake District cottages
One thing is for sure; dogs love the Lakes. Not only is it an exceptionally dog-accommodating place to visit, with many shops, pubs and cafes welcoming our four-legged friends, the endless walks to explore, lakes to swim in and rivers to paddle make the Lake District a doggy paradise. There are even mile upon mile of wide, sandy, dog-friendly beaches to discover along the Cumbrian coast.
And here at The Coppermines we love dogs! Not only do we have our resident red-border collies, Zulu and Ziggie who live in Coppermines Valley, most of our team have doggies too – you many have seen some of them on our social media channels including Izzy who has climbed all 214 Wainwrights!
As well as our Coppermines team being dog lovers, many of our cottage owners are too. Consequently lots of our cottages have been designed with both guests and dogs in mind; with wooden floors, enclosed gardens and log-burners – which most dogs seem to enjoy even more than their owners! (Is there a nicer sight than seeing your beloved dog sleeping in front of a roaring log fire?)
